There is such intensity about the eyes of an owl. Though only about eight inches tall, this little screech owl is every inch a fierce predator. I wanted the eyes to be the focus of the painting and chose the golden oak leaves to echo their fiery color.

Limited edition of 450 signed and numbered art prints made from the original watercolor painting depicting an owl sitting on a branch among autumn leaves. Image size, 12.5 x 20.5. Framed size 24.25 x 32.25 with 3-1/16 Burrowed Walnut-finished moulding. Double matting with Pear outer mat.
