This drawing was done for the Great Falls, MT newspaper syndicate in 1922. Russell was commissioned to do several of these sketches to illustrate some of the most exciting episodes of western history. This print was produced using a high quality textured paper in 1964. The Montana Historical Society commissioned this print in honor of Montana's National Territorial Centennial celebration (1864-1964) and it's Diamond Jubilee celebration of 75 years of statehood.
