Stuart Craig Biography:
If you've seen any of the Harry Potter movies, you are familiar with the work of Stuart Craig. As the Art Director for all eight movies, he was nominated for four Academy Awards, seven BAFTAs, and five Art Director's Guild awards. He won a BAFTA Award in 2005 for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and an Art Director's Guild Award for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. All of Stuart's stunning work was done with the blessing of author JK Rowling. In fact, she felt his visual representation of Harry's world was so true to what was in her own mind that she insisted that he be heavily involved in the creation of the Harry Potter theme park. In addition to his work on the Potter series, Stuart Craig has won Academy Awards for his work on Gandhi, Dangerous Liaisons, and The English Patient. He has also been honored as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Art Director's Guild.
