Susan Drinker

The husband and wife team of Dick Durrance II and Susan Drinker is nationally renowned for their timeless photograph art, prints and posters of majestic landscapes in national parks throughout the world. Capturing the natural beauty of scenic vistas and magical forests in stunning colors, the Drinker Durrance team stresses the importance of environmental preservation through their art. From the windswept, white-capped mountains of Yellowstone National Park to the rushing water of the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon, the photographs of Drinker Durrance exhibit the harsh, yet delicate splendors of our natural world.

Dick Durrance began his career in photographic art, prints and posters with the Department of Army Special Photographic Office recording military activities in Southeast Asia and later went on to work for the National Geographic. In 1972, the White House News Photographers Association named Durrance Photographer of the Year. Recently, he was awarded a Presidential Medal for Outstanding Leadership and Achievement from his alma mater, Dartmouth College.

Susan Drinker studied art at several institutions including the Oldfields School, the University of Denver and the Art Institute of Boston, where she completed her post-graduate work and later taught photography. Soon after, Drinker opened her own photography studio and won commissions from prestigious companies such as Marlboro and Fuji Film. In 1989 Susan Drinker and Dick Durrance combined their separate firms into Drinker Durrance Graphics and immediately gained national recognition for their striking photographic art, prints and posters.
