Artist Biography

Aviation artist Willliam Phillips has legions of fans, including many of the heroes who served their country in difficult and dangerous times. This speaks volumes about the accuracy of images and settings conveyed in his art, prints and posters.

Never intending to pursue art full-time, Phillips studied criminology in college and was headed to law school when the sale of four of his paintings displayed in an airport restaurant changed the course of his life.

Phillips' planes are tied to the earth in landscapes that recall the hardship and sacrifice of not only the pilots, but the families left behind. Emotions are given form and substance through Phillips' art, prints, and posters, a gift appreciated by collectors world-wide.
