Robert Furber painted pictures and hand-painted engravings of botanical images which were not only decorative pieces of art, prints and posters, but also of historical interest.
Generally in series of twelve, Robert Furber's most famous art, prints and posters featured flowers and fruit.
In 1700, Robert Furber opened a nursery at Kensington Gore, London. Here he was able to nurture the plants as well as to observe and painting them. Thirty years later, he produced the first illustrated horticultural trade catalogue, influenced by his art, prints and posters.
