A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Greg Alexander is basically self-taught as a wildlife artist, a fact that does not hurt the success of his art, prints and posters.
Greg Alexander and his wife and two daughters live in northern Wisconsin, where he revels in the idea that there is more wildlife and landscape within a short distance of his home than he can paint in a lifetime, although he attempts to capture all that he can through his art, prints and posters.
Greg Alexander works from photographs of landscapes in which he places birds and animals. His painting was featured on the 1997 Wisconsin Pheasant Stamp, only one of his successes through art, prints and posters. He is also active in conservation.
