Smalltown values, simple pleasures, days gone by - these themes and many more are depicted in the art, prints and posters of Missourian Jesse Barnes. The son of a basket maker, Jesse's artistic aspirations started at a very young age.
Jesse's first commercial work was an oil painted when he was 10 years old. Purchased by his elementary school principal, it hung in her office until her retirement. In 1980, Starlight in December became his first print to sell out before production.
After years spent painting school play backdrops, pinball machines, and signs, the dreams of a child have finally become reality. Now a USArt hall of fame inductee, The Light Painter has been delighting collectors for over 20 years.
