David Garibaldi discusses his new art print, The Get Down:
The concept of The Get Down was originally inspired and commissioned by a hip-hop event in California known as Might 4. The Mighty 4 was established to preserve the four cornerstones of the hip-hop culture: Emcee-in', DJ-in', Writing, and B-boyin'-girlin'. During the creative process of this painting, I was dedicated to capturing the essence of four elements that are at the core of the culture we know and live, hip-hop. Each person in the painting represents one of the Mighty 4. Each character is a separate individual, but when they perform together they inspire the crowd to get down.
