David Garibaldi discusses his new art print, Dreds and Drums:
Dreds and Drums is a tribute to the foundation of musical rhythm, the percussion. As I walked through Los Angeles one day, I passed by a street performer that was playing on a make-shift set of instruments. Although he was actually using buckets and cans for his performance, I envisioned his talent, perhaps later in life, on a genuine drum set. I painted him as he could be in the future, yet kept the blue of the sky in the background as a semblance of the past. Dreads fly, drumsticks jump, and rhythms take control of the soul.
