This painting was completed in 1895. This is an early water color treatment of a favorite Russell subject which he did several times. This print was produced using a high quality textured paper in 1964. The Montana Historical Society commissioned this print in honor of Montana's National Territorial Centennial celebration (1864-1964) and it's Diamond Jubilee celebration of 75 years of statehood.
