Artist Biography

William Mangum, a native of North Carolina, has built a national reputation among collectors of fine art, prints and posters. With nearly 27 years experience, this watercolor artist is widely recognized for his broad and colorful collection of landscapes and architecture. Bill's artistic talent and marketing savvy have impelled many organizations to seek him as a speaker for their events. From his 59 cent tray of watercolor paints used to create his first painting as a Christmas gift for his mother, Bill shares the highs and lows of his painting career. His success story interjected with humorous antidotes makes for a most entertaining program.

Bill has traveled both domestically and internationally, but his international travels gave him his greatest education as an artist. Venues in Italy and Greece helped him to create his unique style and develop a deeper appreciation of his home state of North Carolina. Although foreign lands offer great variety, Bill is constantly finding himself returning to an area much more familiar to capture and share his art, prints and posters with his collectors.
