Victor Santos

Artist Biography

When Victor Santos left a successful career as a commercial artist, he turned his talents to paintings of still lifes and florals in oil and acrylic, and other art, prints and posters.

Victor Santos was born in the Philippines in 1934 and earned a degree in fine arts at the University of the Philippines. He began his career in advertising where he received numerous industry awards. In 1971, while working as a commercial artist in San Francisco, he was persuaded to move to Vancouver to work on paintings, art, prints and posters on a full-time basis.

Victor Santos' style of realism displays a meticulous attention to detail. His purity of line and glowing colors give his art, prints, posters and paintings a quiet beauty which Canadian and American collectors esteem. Santos is now a Canadian citizen and works from his home in Delta, British Columbia.
