Tanya Fischer

Artist Biography

Tanya Fischer was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania in 1973. While attending college Fischer studied at the Vermont Studio Center working individually with other artists and developing her own unique sense of style, whimsy and character in her art, prints and posters.

After graduating in 1995 from Beaver College in Glenside, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting, Fischer relocated to Arizona where she became a partner in a fine art, prints and posters business in 1997.

"To me art is about process, the physical, emotional and mental experience of creating. It is the act of painting that I find fascinating.” explains Fischer. "I want to convey in my work a sense of character, a fun and energetic quality that is uniquely me”.
