Ever since I was a child I have been captivated by the beauty of the great outdoors. At the age of 12, I began my journey when I became interested in drawing and painting art, prints and posters of wildlife and it's surroundings, since I was raised in a rural community. This, with the help of my parents eventually led to art college in Philadelphia where I specialized in wildlife painting and illustration.
Upon graduating, I accepted an art staff position with a large printing firm, and freelanced in wildlife art, prints and posters on the side. Eventually, the firm closed, and I went on a freelance basis starting with smaller wildlife publications and gradually working up to larger ones.
Feeling that my knowledge could be spread to others, I took a teaching position at a community college. I eventually resigned from teaching to do wildlife paintings for a publisher. For a five year period, I did a number of works that were made into limited edition art prints and posters. I also illustrated a series of books.
