Richard Lamson

Artist Biography

For nearly three decades, Richard Lamson has been one of America's preeminent bird sculptors. Recognized by the Audubon Society, he's found not only in thousands of stores around the country--his sculptures and figurines are on the shelves and tabletops of tens of thousands of bird-lovers' homes.

After a short stint at Big Sky Carvers, Richard and his wife, Christy, restarted Richard Lamson Studio as an independent business. In part, says Richard, staying in touch with customers of his sculptures and figurines is as important as staying in touch with Nature. "The best part of this business is knowing how much people love our products, hearing their ideas and sharing our mutual love of all things that have to do with birds."

Located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Richard Lamson Studio produces fine bird sculptures and figurines that are cast with the finest resins and other materials, and then individually hand-painted.
