Nicky Boehme

Artist Biography

Nicky Boehme, a native Californian, always knew that painting was to be her vocation. She has been drawing and painting ever since she was a child. Nicky studied technical art training at the Oakland Art Institue in California and later became art director for several national ad agencies. It was at this time she received numerous awards for her art, prints and posters as an illustrator and graphic designer.

Her years of experience in painting have given her the knowledge of dramatic lighting and the ability to transport the viewer to a special place in time through her art, prints and posters. Through the minds eye, Nicky's Boehme's paintings will lead you to a romantic adventure–be it a small remote harbor or to a cooling mountain stream.

As an artist-member of the American Society of Marine Artists, Nicky Boehme participated in the 8th National Exhibition sponsored by the Mariner's Museum in Newport News, Virginia. Her art, prints and posters are in many private and corporate collections across the country.
