A native of England, a resident of Florida and a traveller of the world, John Seerey-Lester paints only subjects which he has observed firsthand. His meticulous research pays off in art, prints and posters that are not only beautiful, but also totally accurate.
Seerey-Lester worked in advertising and publishing before devoting himself to his art full time. A trip to East Africa in 1980 fueled his passion for wildlife. His art, prints and poster have become a voice for endangered species, raising awareness and funds.
The artist has been chosen to exhibit in the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum's prestigious Birds in Art show every year since 1983. Seerey-Lester is esteemed not only by his collectors, but by his peers as well.
