Howard Hersh creates art, prints and posters that have inherent qualities of mystery and timelessness, appearing as if they contain their own inner light and energy. His purpose is to connect us with what is sacred, using nature as a stepping-stone thus allowing us to open up to the spirit that is in all things.
Originally from Los Angeles, Hersh currently lives and works in San Francisco, continuing to practice the art of painting art, prints and posters, as well as mastering encaustic, the ancient process of hot wax painting.
His art, prints and posters are exhibited extensively throughout the United States and Japan, as well as in the Santa Barbara Museum, California, and the Fine Arts Museum of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
