Eric is a self-taught artist who began painting wildlife art, prints and posters in 1978, but has been painting for more than 30 years. He now lives in the scenic area of New Denver, British Columbia, where he gets his inspiration from treks in the wild.
He started painting wildlife art, prints and posters with watercolors in 1978, but switched to oil in 1984. He can work on six or seven paintings at a time, and has many ongoing projects. Some of his finest accomplishments include being chosen as Artist Of The Year 2001, and Peoples Choice 2001 for the B.C. Wildlife Federation and Ducks Unlimited Canada Porfolio Artist in 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005.
His work has been chosen for Weyerhauser calendars for 1993 and 2001, and he was also artist of the quarter for Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation for 1993. His work has been on numerous magazine covers, books, art cards, and collector's plates. Eric cares very much about the natural world, and through his art, prints and posters, tries to make people aware of nature and the need to protect it.
