Cecile Baird

Artist Biography

Cecile Baird received her art education at The Ohio State University where she received her BFA and MA degrees in Graphic Design, which would later benefit her art, prints and posters. After working several years as a designer in St. Louis and Los Angeles, Ms. Baird returned to her home state of Ohio and opened her own business designing and selling a line of figurines and note cards to gift shops all over the country.

While this business is ongoing today, Cecile Baird has turned her talents to painting as well. Working primarily in oil and colored pencil, Cecile has developed a realistic style that captures the drama, beauty and simplicity of everyday objects in her still life paintings. With their strong sense of composition and lighting, Cecile's art, prints, posters and paintings always draw the viewer back again and again.

Cecile Baird is a signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America. Her colored pencil and oil paintings have received numerous local, regional, national and international awards. Cecile's art, prints and posters have been published in The Artist's Magazine and The International Artist.
