Carolyn Emole

Carolyn Emole's heart is just west of Midland. Growing up in a suburb just outside of the Windy City, Emole gained experiences and lessons seen in her art, prints and posters today. The inherent beauties found in the black and white winters of the city are the exquisite, primitive wonders of Emole's charcoal flowers. The warm flavors of the small town summers come to mind when appreciating her oil paintings. The abstract musings of her monotypes represent a young woman's hopes and dreams of spreading her wings, strangely naive and innocent, yet worldly and wise.

After discovering new inspiration in California, Carolyn Emole attended Santa Monica College of Design, Art and Architecture, graduating in 1993. There she studied with such nationally recognized artists as Peter Alexander, Laddie John Dill, George Herms, Debra Sussman, Diane Buckler and more. She then explored the European lands of the masters, which expanded her voice and enriched her abstract forms. Emole's art, prints, and posters have experienced an ever-progressing popularity in corporate and private collections nationwide.

Carolyn Emole currently lives in California, and whether she paints her art, prints and posters on canvas, wood, paper or works on a monotype, she finds new visions and colors to share and explore. But a little piece of her heart is still just west of Midland.
