Artist Biography

Roger Loveless

Roger Loveless has always loved to draw. Whatever he saw in newspapers and magazines were subjects for his sketches, from racing cars to comics, even caricatures of faces and figures. After graduating from Utah State University in 1983 with a degree in illustration, Roger began a freelance career and was soon doing art, prints and posters for such well known clients as Milton Bradley, National Geographic and the Titanic Historical Society. In addition, his resume includes book covers for both Bantam and Dell and, while living in Los Angeles, movie posters and video covers.

In the mid 1990's, after a successful career as an illustrator, Roger Loveless began to explore another direction for his creative energies. "I felt a deep need to find a new niche, to take what I had learned to a different place where I was more comfortable.” The result of this slowly evolving transformation is the beautifully spiritual art, prints and posters that now comprise most of his creative output.

"I want to produce art that is both meaningful and something people can truly enjoy in their homes, such as spiritual themes and the good experiences of life. Art should be able to enter the heart through the eyes of the viewer to experience emotions not typically felt in everyday life. I love to participate in this process and to bring more joy and meaning to my life and, hopefully, into the lives of others." - Roger Loveless on his art, prints and posters
