Born in England, Alan Hunt pursued studies in both art and zoology. He calls himself "the zoologist who paints wildlife". He has studied the animals in his art, prints and posters extensively, in zoos, reserves and in the wild.
His broad knowledge of animal structure and behaviour allows him to portray them in all their natural beauty. Devoted to conservation, Hunt concentrates on endangered species, helping raise funds and awareness through his art, prints and posters.
"Rather than become famous as a painter, I would like to be remembered as someone who tried to make people aware of the need to protect the environment and the planet."
