Auguste-Emile Bellet's art, prints and posters flourished at the end of the nineteenth century.
Auguste-Emile Bellet was born in Chateau-briant and became a pupil of Cabaud and, later, a member of the society Artistes Francais, which awarded him a mark of distinction in 1885, through he distinguished himself through his art, prints and posters as well.
Passing away in 1911, Auguste-Emile Bellet would have been pleased to see a retrospective exhibition of his art, prints and posters was held at the Salon in 1912.
